White House

About the Project

Location: Mt Eliza, Mornington Peninsula

Builder: Peter Anderson
Landscape Construction: Canterbury Landscapes

The brief for the White House was Palm Springs: the garden was to have a bond with the strong architectural elements of the newly renovated house.

With the existing tennis court resurfaced, the new pool was designed to sit above and in line with the main entertainment area of the house to maximise the outdoor lifestyle. The upper internal courtyard, which once housed the original pool, was transformed to offer visual intrigue from the surrounding rooms, featuring clean white walls, white breeze blocks, and sculpture planting. This striking planting includes Mexican fence post cactus, a Ceiba feature tree, and yellow flowering Aloes, adding structure and seasonal interest.
