A beach oasis with a balance of layered structure and a low-maintenance landscape that embraces its coastal context and enhances the home’s design without competing with it. The brief called for a garden that felt relaxed and organic, yet visually connected to the strong linear forms of the home.
The front garden features a winding path of large format steppers navigating the slope up to the entrance, with low-growing natives and perennials offering movement and ever-changing colour throughout the year. Corten steel edging frames the natural lawn driveway, giving it the opportunity to blend in with the surrounding landscape.
In the rear, nestled amongst the timber detail and bold pergola, circular steppers placed in a tapestry of groundcovers integrate seamlessly with the planting, creating an informal outdoor room framed by lush screening plants, offering a lovely contrast to the clean lines of this stunning beach house.
